I really want them to get a divorce and for her to live a happier life without having to keep wearing the perfect-mask. I think Ki-tae’s mom is such a fantastic character in that she’s so ridiculously human. Her expectations of Jang-mi is very justified and I love how betrayed she felt when she believed the blogger was Jang-mi’s form of revenge. I really wish dramas would do this more often. The cookie-cutter MIA are so yesterday.

I especially liked that she just kind of threw up her hands and accepted that Jang Mi is just weird and that maybe weird is what the family needs. Of course, in both scenes (the fantasy and the real one), the highlight was Yeo Reum’s grin of schadenfreude. Even in her fantasy, Jang Mi knows that Yeo Reum will be enjoying the show. Like, i am so done with these hero complexes (do min jun err), and this drama makes me realize that all a girl needs is a man who sees her with respect.

Sorette Pakuri Janai Desuka? ( Episode 1

I loved it when Mom acknowledged Jang-mi’s efforts to get her approval. I truly believe mom wanted to be proven wrong and for Jang-mi to really be who she’s trying to show she is. So the business deal and the eventual family acceptance makes me so happy because like GF said, its so hard earned and thus, precious. He went from being completely self-centered (Mom doesn’t understand ME!) to realizing that he was the one who needed to put himself in her shoes. Maybe he didn’t know it then how much Mom loved him, but he knows now how much Jang-mi loves him, and he’s not going to make the same mistake twice.

Phetra Naruemit ( Episode 9

Jang-mi finally cracks a smile and counters that you can’t trust men, but nevertheless, she wants to trust Ki-tae. In the present, business is bustling again at “Ju Jang-mi” thanks to Ki-tae’s mother’s kimchi, and Jang-mi, Hyun-hee, and https://legitdatingsites.com/ Yeo-reum are on top of the world. A few times what she said and what he said contradicted their physical actions, which is just good acting overall… Because a writer as much as they can write, can’t quite write that into a script.

Jang-mi chases her around the house trying to negotiate her down with aegyo, and then calls Hyun-hee on her way home to say that she scored Mom’s kimchi after all. What she doesn’t get is why Jang-mi tries so hard with her—more than is necessary—for them to understand each other. Jang-mi thinks about it and says with a smile, “Because you and I love one man.” Awwww.

I’m just so happy that this show remained true to itself until the end. And that they weren’t afraid to show the OTP kissing and touching like any normal couple (thanks cable!). Appreciate your comments and insights LOllypip and GF. I am still battling the tears as this show has come to an end and also the family relationships it has explored and unraveled.

The fact that the second lead actor look handsome is one of the strategies to attract audiences in case the first lead male might get failed in his act, but YWJ beat it. Means the producer doesn’t need to worry things. And for we few JM/YR shippers, there were things to love, too – including the fact that YR is there being supportive and (still) a little cunning (but also being a good friend to KT). And also little backhanded digs (“noona”, lol). That’s what made the nook-and-cranny-washing so hilarious.

He had to learn that while you may get hurt if you reach out to others, you also may gain immeasurable happiness, and that’s worth possibly experiencing some heartbreak in the process. I thought that Jang Mi’s reluctance about marriage has more to do with her parents’ relationship that in the complex past between her and Gi Tea. I just love seeing the two of them happy together.

Oh Eun Young’s Report: Marriage Hell ( Episode 11

I can never help myself when it comes to MND, haha. I watch the raw episode the morning of and then the subbed version countless times afterwards to tie me over until the next episode. Now I don’t even know what to do with myself…

Dealing with KT’s relationship with his mum, the mystery about that part of his childhood and why mum stayed in that marriage explaned. I just totally love this show, which is rare nowadays as I am close to terminal burnout on anymore of the formula driven cliché ridden ones that have dominated for so long. Let’s just take a moment to say “hurray!” for no Se Ha in this episode. Show, you will NOT be the death of me. I will NOT sit in a corner and cry when you are over.

I protested and criticized the second leads a lot but now i just really want them all to be happy. This drama makes me want a relationship like theirs, not the runaway bride love-trumps-all story but one where the relationship involves not only two people being united but rather two families. Nothing much to say about this episode, words aren’t enough to say how much I love them esp that phone convo between mom and his son.

Se-ah and Yeo-rum I cared for even less except for during the beach escapade. I thought at that point they might have an interesting friendship between all of them but after that unfortunately things went back to square one. It might be the writing, the acting or a combination of both but they have not added anything aside from being plot devices. Putting that weakness aside there are many things I loved about the show. The last episode wrapped up things pretty nicely.

Agree with you,,, I really love Ki Tae crying scene. That’s the most realistic crying scene in K-Drama. He wipe his own tears unlike the others who usually just let it down their face to add more dramatic vibe. I used to think that Joo In Sung is the best for crying scene but I change my mind now. Ki Tae you win over Joo In Sung for Best Crying scene…..

Both are ridiculously talented and I expect great things from them in the future. I hope they get a chance to be main leads in network channels and take on bigger challenges. Definitely the breakout stars of the year for me. I’ve never seen them in anything before and I’m just so mighty impressed.
